© h.koppdelaneyA recent study in the June issue of the journal 'Psychological Science' has states that frequent Buddhist meditation can increase the attention span of a person.
Sixty people who were strong mediators and had attended several meditation retreats, were selected for the study. Researchers divided the group into half, where the first set of participants studied Buddhist meditation for three months and second group of participants were the control group of the study. Held in Colorado, participants were then giving computer tests before and after the three month meditation session, to measure their ability to make fine visual distinctions.
Results showed that there was a large improvement in attention span for the participants selected for the first group.
